Scars
Scars cam be the result of trauma, infection or surgery to the skin. When your skin heals, the resulting scar can sometimes be more prominent that we would like.
Scars can become depressed or elevated, can become wide and can remain red. When scars are visible and concerning, they can often be improved and fine-tuned. We use a number of different approaches depending on the type, location and age of a scar including:
- Excision of the skin and new suturing using a layered approach to give a better result
- Spot dermaabrasion or sanding to smooth any irregularities
- Steroid injections
- BBL treatment
- Microneedle Fractional Radiofrequency
- Fractional CO2 laser treatment
- Filler injections
- Surgical subcision
